Discussion | Clear to turbid waters of lakes, streams, and sloughs. 0–2300m. BR, Col, CR, WV. CA, ID, NV, WA; north to British Columbia, east to CT, south to Mexico, Central America, South America; Eurasia. Native. This species hybridizes with P. alpinus, P. epihydrus, P. gramineus, P. illinoensis, P. natans, and P. richardsonii. |
