Discussion | Coniferous forests, sheltered edges of meadows, roadsides. Flowering May–Sep. 100–2200m. BW, Casc, CR, Est, Sisk, WV. CA, ID, WA; north to AK, east to WY. Native. This species has long been known by the specific epithet caurina, published by Piper in 1898; however, the epithet banksiana was published by Lindley in 1840 and therefore has priority. |
