sprawling, climbing, 2–20 dm, angled to narrowly winged, basally branched 0–4 times.

Leaves

4–14 cm;

leaflets 6–12, unpaired; ovate to linear, 12–40 × 5–25 mm;

surfaces sparsely to densely pubescent, sometimes glabrous abaxially;

tendrils well developed;

stipules lanceolate to linear; much < leaflets, bases semi-sagittate.

5–20-flowered, 5–25 cm.

Flowers

12–18 mm;

calyx lateral lobes lanceolate; ? tubes;

corollas blue-purple to white;
