Discussion

Sand dunes and coastal beaches. Flowering May–Sep. 0–50 m. Est. WA; north to AK; northeastern Asia. Native.

Honckenya peploides ssp. major occupies coastal areas along the northern Pacific Ocean, while the three other subspecies adjoin either the Arctic (one subspecies) or Atlantic oceans (two subspecies).
