anthers approximately 4 mm long; short pointed.

Discussion

Grasslands, forests, gravelly slopes. Flowering Mar–Jul. 0–2300m. Casc, CR, Est, Sisk, WV. CA. Native.

Calochortus tolmiei is a highly variable species, which has resulted in many populations being described as distinct taxa (and subsequently “lumped” or synonymized back into the overall species concept). Calochortus tolmiei is known to hybridize with C. uniflorus.
