Discussion

Grasslands, scablands, open coniferous forests. Flowering Jun–Aug. 200–2500m. BR, BW, Lava. NV, WA. Native.

A disjunct population of this species exists in the Humboldt Mountains of Nevada.

Vernal meadows in heavy clays or serpentine soils. Flowering Apr–Jun. 100–800m. Casc, Sisk, WV. CA. Native.

Calochortus uniflorus is known to hybridize with C. tolmiei.
