Discussion

Grasslands, scablands, open coniferous forests. Flowering Jun–Aug. 200–2500m. BR, BW, Lava. NV, WA. Native.

A disjunct population of this species exists in the Humboldt Mountains of Nevada.

Conifer forests in mineral soils, sometimes serpentine. Flowering Apr–May. 500–1800m. Casc, Sisk. CA. Native.
