surfaces puberulent to nearly glabrous, often minutely glandular, sessile or subsessile.

cylindrical or campanulate, 10–20 mm.

Disc florets

25–50;

corollas 5–10 mm, white or pale greenish.

Phyllaries

25–35 in 4–6 series;

tips acute to acuminate; outer lanceolate, usually glandular-puberulent; inner linear, glabrous or glandular-puberulent.

Fruits

5–7 mm, brown, stipitate-glandular or setose-hispidulous;

pappus bristles 8–10 mm.
